Anti-roll bars are the quickest way to change how a car turns without rebuilding the whole setup. They are also where most people make understeer worse.

Anti-roll bars in Forza Horizon 6 control body roll and, more usefully, the balance between understeer and oversteer. The meta runs a softer front bar and a stiffer rear to promote rotation. To cure understeer, soften the front bar rather than stiffening the rear, and aim for a mechanical balance readout of 0.55 to 0.65.

What anti-roll bars do

An anti-roll bar ties the left and right wheels of an axle together, resisting body roll. Stiffen one end and that end gets less grip in a corner, which shifts the balance. That is the lever: a stiff front pushes the nose wide, a stiff rear brings the tail round.

The meta splits

FH6 tunes run a soft front and a stiffer rear to fight the natural understeer of a grippy car.

RWD: roughly 19 front, 31 rear.
AWD: roughly 22 front, 34 rear.
FWD: very soft front around 10, stiff rear around 33, to force the nose to bite.

The mechanical balance readout

FH6 shows a mechanical balance figure in the tuning menu. Use it. Aim for 0.55 to 0.65, with 0.60 as the sweet spot. It takes the guesswork out of the front-rear split and reads the same across different cars.

Fix the end with the problem

This is the rule that saves most tunes. If the car understeers, do not stiffen the rear until the tail comes round, that just makes the rear nervous without adding front grip. Soften the front bar instead. If it oversteers, soften the rear.

Understeer: soften the front bar two or three points.
Oversteer: soften the rear bar, or add a touch of rear toe-in.
Never stiffen the rear to cure a front problem.
